Disney Netpal Netbook Video Hands On

Pink Disney Netpal Netbook. Also available in blue.
Disney and Asus have partnered to build a netbook that’s children oriented. It runs on Windows XP in the background and has a Disney customized software than runs on top. It’s basically a skin/theme that packs all the software intended for children. The software is complete with parental control so the children stay on the right path with their netbooks.
The netbook will retail at $350.

The newest netbook from LG that carries fairly standard specs with 1.6Ghz Intel Atom N270, 160GB HDD, 1GB RAM and a 3G landed on the hands of Engadget. It’s the final retail version which I assume will get on the hands of everyone very soon. Thus far, they only shared a good impression of the matte white finish of the netbook and we have to wait a few days more for some thorough impressions.
Asus Eee XP version rolls out on April 9th, priced, same specs
There’s already a release date for the Windows XP version of the Eee PC 4G. It will sell at $400 on April 9. The unit sports same specs as the 1st version, though, according to LaptopMag , Asus has plan of bundling it with extra 4G SD since Windows XP alone consumes up to 1.8 GB of storage. As previously reported, it sports Microsoft Works.
The screen size is also the same 800 x 480-pixel resolution which causes a lot of scrolling according to LaptopMag. Internet is smooth and there’s no problem with video chatting on Meebo. All in all, they like the XP version.
