11.6″ Acer Aspire One gets Official

11.6 acer aspire one
The larger Acer Aspire One has now been officially announced and comes with only a bit difference with the other AA1. It will sport the usual Atom processor, 160GB hard disk estate, 1 GB RAM, and maybe the ports around the case. Apart from the larger-but-thinner form factor, it also has Bluetooth, 3G, Dolby Pro Logic Sound plus the 5200mAh battery that keeps the netbook alive up to 8 hours.

Now the only remaining question is when it’s gonna be available and how much it would cost.

The video props an Acer Aspire One which originally comes with Linpus Lite.

$50 Price Cut on Acer Aspire One

In Supply-Demand principle, high-demand = high prices of products in demand. Sure it’s true but for Netbooks category, it seems not. Instead it goes like the more tight competition = lower price.

Acer drops their price for Aspire One Linux to $50 less from the original $379, as well as for their Windows version. All the original specs are maintained which makes the Aspire One netbooks one of the cheapest amongst the category. Meanwhile, just this week, Asus cut $100 less on Eee PC 1000H as well.
