NorhTec Gecko EduBook runs on AA Batteries
NorhTec Gecko EduBook is a low-powered netbook capable of running Windows XP and Linux systems. It uses Xcore86 processor which is more energy efficient compared to x86 CPU of any kind that runs at 1Ghz. The netbook also has no fan, therefore, increased savings on power consumption with only 1.2 watts.
The Gecko EduBook features a large, bright LED backlit 8.9 inch screen with a resolution of 1024 x 600. This netbook is modular, thus, not only the RAM can be upgraded but as well as the CPU. It can also accommodate either HDD or SSD like other netbooks.
One thing that sets this netbook apart is its capability to run on 8 AA batteries.
