It's of course not recommended for the average user. For me I am very cautious on what to install (from where I get installation packages and so on) and browsing internet. Also I'm logged in as a non admin user. This has worked well for me for the last three years. If I find a free low impact antivirus I might try it. I do not use antivirus on my netbook.
