I have taken the bold step of installing Windows 7 on to my Samsung NC10 and it is working flawlessly. All of the hardware was found during installation without the requirement to go and find drivers.
All the programs I use are working brilliantly too. Running Office 2007 with ease. I just can't understand Microsoft's ploy because it will end with people either getting hold of ripped copies or as LinuxLove puts it moving to Linux, which is a good system for those that know how to get the best from it. But when it comes to turn it on use it nothing can touch a Windows PC. Everything is developed for Windows.....
Maybe that will change in time, but only when Google Chrome OS goes live.

Not so sure. They cannibalize themselves as they try to protect their bottom line. I think, in time, people are gonna find themselves over to either Linux (in some fashion such as Android or Moblin) or Mac OS more and more.

Microsoft has to be about the dumbest company in the world.
