Most reasons why beginners do not choose Ubuntu Eee for their Eee PC is the non-reliable WiFi manager. The latest release Ubuntu Eee 8.04 once announced that it will have madwifi working OOTB but as I experienced it was not. Now here’s the Eeebuntu to cover up for that. Eeextra has more details about things that Eeebuntu can do right out-of-the-box.

Eeebuntu 1.0 has been released recently in 2 colors (Standard and NBR packed). It packs OpenOffice 2.4, Pdgin/SKYPE, GTKPod for iPod lovers and a lot more. It also has support scripts in case problem arises. I’d like to try this asap.
